1. Input op amps replaced with Burr Brown OPA604AP units
2. Electrolytics replaced with low ESR electrolytics
3. Quad CD input card

Quad 405 (ser No 26,882) modifications

1. Dual mono power supply with Schottky diodes
2. Peak output current increased from 7 Amps to 14 Amps - doubling power output into 4 Ohm loads)
3. Reservoir capacitance increased from 20,000 micro Farads to 27,000 micro Farads using modern low ESR electrolytics
4. Input op amps replaced with Burr Brown OPA604AP units
5. Electrolytics replaced with low ESR electrolytics
6. Gold plated phono inputs routed direct to the driver boards with shortened cable runs
7. Speaker sockets replaced with gold plated banana sockets

Quad FM4 (ser No 9,812) modifications

1. Electrolytics replaced with low ESR electrolytics
